Cheryl Brown began pursuing landscape design in Vermont, integrating her passions for gardening and the outdoors with design. Looking to explore the field of landscape design more extensively, she continued her education and received her MLA from Cornell University. While in school, she was employed as an intern with a residential design-build firm in the Aspen, Colorado area. Here she had the opportunity to work with both homeowners and architects to create outdoor living spaces.
After graduating, she gained experience working in a multidisciplinary firm on sustainable design projects, ranging in size from small scale entryway gardens to large scale, mixed use developments. She enjoys integrating sustainable design techniques aesthetically into landscape designs. Cheryl Brown brings over 12 years of residential design experience to her projects at JDDA and is a licensed Landscape Architect in the States of Connecticut and New York and member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
